Welcome!
Beach House Therapy Services is a boutique speech/language private practice based in Winter Garden, Florida. We serve pediatric clients with speech, language, and literacy needs. Additionally, we also provide accent/dialect services to adults who desire to learn new pronunciation skills after acquiring General American English.
Our Services
-
Speech therapy is what most people think about when they hear the phrase “speech therapy.” This can be for pronunciation goals such as improving the /r/ sound in “rabbit,” the /s/ sound in “sun, etc.” Speech is “how” we communicate.
-
Language therapy is “what” we communicate. This involves areas such as vocabulary, answering questions, using correct grammar including past tense verbs in sentences, etc.
-
Literacy includes reading (“decoding” or the ability to sound out words), comprehension (understanding meaning of what we read), and the ability to convey our thoughts in written form.
-
Accent/dialect coaching and skill training is for advanced English language learners who are seeking to improve their confidence and naturalness when using higher level speech skills such as pronunciation, intonation, stress patterns, and domain-specific vocabulary for general American English.
